Adil Rashid Profile
February 17, 1988
A dominant white ball bowler, Rashid’s main weapon in his armory is his wicked googly, which can surprise any batter. The leg-spinner made his white ball debut in the 20-over format back in 2009 at the World T20, where he started all 4 of England’s games.
Rashid had to wait for six years to make his debut in the all whites for England, making it against Pakistan in 2015. He has gone on to become an important part in the England setup, playing key roles in England’s triumph at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and the T20 World Cup in 2022.
Since his debut, no spinner has picked up more wickets than Adil Rashid for England. The leg-spinner has so far picked up 60 wickets in 19 Tests for England, in addition to racking up 169 and 93 wickets in the 50-over and 20-over formats respectively.
