Biography
Anrich Nortje breathes fire in his deliveries as much as he breathes oxygen. The right-arm speedster can bowl deliveries at excess of 150 kmph very often and is one of the most fearsome bowlers in World Cricket.
Nortje came into the spotlight during the Mzansi Super League T20 tournament in South Africa, where his speed earned him 8 wickets in three appearances for Cape Town Blitz before being forced out of the tournament due to injury. Nortje made his ODI debut for South Africa in March 2019 against Sri Lanka, where he started four of the five games.
Nortje made his debut in the 20-over and Test formats in late 2019 against India. Since his debut, Nortje has amassed over 100 wickets for the Proteas in 62 caps across the three formats. He’s also a part of the Capitals Universe’s Delhi Capitals setup in the IPL.
