Biography
Migael Pretorius is a right-arm quickie, who can hit the right line and lengths and deceive the batter. With his tall physique, Migael can bowl devastating bouncers. In October 2016, aged 21, Pretorius received his maiden First-Class cap for Northerns in the 3-Day Cup against Eastern Province at the SuperSport Park.
Pretorius ended that season as the highest wicket-taker, scalping 42 wickets from 10 games. Till date, he has played 43 First-Class games, picking up 140 wickets with best figures of 6/38. Pretorius has been equally impressive in the 20-over and 50-over domestic formats as well, racking up 37 and 64 wickets respectively.
In December 2020, Migael received his maiden call-up to the National Test side for the tour of Sri Lanka.
